im using Acer vx15 with 1050 Ti Nvidia. and the honeyminer doesnt detect my GPU why is that?
I was running into the same problem. On the console I was getting the error
WARNING: NVIDIA cannot load backend library: xmrstak_cuda_backend.dll
WARNING: NVIDIA Backend disabled
I Installed the NVidia CUDA 10 toolkit and it began working. This used to be an option in the NVidia control panel, but now you have to go directly to the site and get it from there.
Hi, in case you still haven't solved this, I used version 391.35, older and newer versions didn't work for me. Here is the link to that driver: https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/132845/en-us
Just to be sure I uninstalled honeyminer before updating the driver, reset the pc and then installed honeyminer again, from version 0.6.1 and updating to 0.6.5 it still worked in both.
Hey Muhammad, I'm not with Honeyminer, but I mine with a bunch of different cards including the 1050ti also 1060, 960M & 750ti as well as AMD. With Nvidia cards & Honeyminer sometimes the latest driver is not the best one. Reinstall an old driver 2-3 months even. That should get your 1050ti going.
@g: First remove honeyminer & don't forget the file in the roaming file in appdata. Then use ddu which is free, to remove your Nvidea drivers. It does better job. Then reinstall a driver about a month old. Try 2-3 different ones. Once running click on Honeyminers activity button & watch your card to see if the software is trying to connect. My lone 1050ti died a month ago & I don't recall which number it was. Win 7 works better for me than 10 with Nvidea. No spur of the moment updating! Also I'm not sure if 1050 is cuda2 or 3. If 2 it won't work until Diggy figures it out.
@Greg Speers: Hi, Greg, I'm having the same problem with a GTX 1050. HoneyMiner ignores its presence, throws no error. Can you please advise which driver version (and date) you've been able to make this work with, and your OS? Win10 here.
